Slam-A-Lot Puppetry Slam

seeks performers!!

The Connecticut Guild of Puppetry is hosting a Puppet Slam on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Five Points Art Center in Torrington, CT to celebrate the end of our 50th anniversary year as a Guild.

We are currently seeking a wide variety of puppetry styles, and encourage performers to apply here.

 Submission Deadline is October 21, 2025 at 11:59PM, applications will be contacted by October 31st. Any questions can be directed to board@ctpuppetry.org.  Keep an eye on the CT Guild of Puppetry Website for information regarding tickets.

September 27th Walkaround puppets with Robin McCahill throughout the day at White Memorial Nature Center in Litchfield

October 4th Bats of the Night puppet making workshop with Sova Theater at 2:00 pm at Darien Public Library

October 19th “The Fairy Serpent” by Oompapossum Puppets, at 2:00pm at East Lyme Community Center in East Lyme, CT.  Tickets are $7, with free workshop to follow.

October 24th “UConn Fall Puppet Slam” at the Nafe Katter at 8:00 pmTheater in Storrs, CT

October 25th Bats of the Night puppet making workshop with Sova Theater at 10:30 am at Bethlehem Public Library

October 25thPeter and the Wolf” by Mark Blashford Marionettes at 11:00am and 2:00 pm at the Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry in Storrs.  Visit www.bimp.uconn.edu for ticket info.

November 15th CT Guild of Puppetry Slam-a-lot Puppetry Slam at 7:00 pm at Five Points Art Center in Torrington.  Ticket information to follow.

November 16th “Alice, or the Red King’s Dream” by Dream Tale Puppets, at 2:00pm at East Lyme Community Center in East Lyme, CT.  Tickets are $7.  Stick Puppet workshop beforehand at 1:15 for an additional $10 fee.

November 28th Feathered Friends paper mask-making workshop with Sova Theater at 2:00 pm at The Judy Black Memorial Park & Gardens in Washington, CT

November 28th “Marvelous Metamorphoses!” By Sova Theater at 3:00 pm at The Judy Black Memorial Park & Gardens Washington

December 7th “Magnificent Monster Circus” by Cactushead Puppets Puppets, at 2:00pm at East Lyme Community Center in East Lyme, CT.  Tickets are $7, with free workshop to follow.
